Snow Day Pleasures
Old discovery (1): Kieran's has very tasty shepherd's pie.
Old discovery (2): Cider is very good with shepherd's pie.
New discovery: Kieran's has wi-fi!
Showed up for a birthday dinner at Kieran's, mostly because I was actually in downtown at the library and I <3 Kieran's. Nobody else is here, but that's actually pretty fine. Not that I dislike people, but I'm pretty content and capable of entertaining myself when I'm solitary. Raised as an only child and all that...my parents taught me early to entertain myself. One of my mother's guilty worries is that she did too good of a job!
If people show up, it will be good. If people do not show up, it will also be good. I'm rather enjoying the novelty of a nearly-deserted Kieran's, and enjoying the snow outside and the warmth and good music (and cider) inside. Also, if you're walking, you totally want to walk on the side of the street that Sheik's is on, because they actually shovel the walk.
Edit: People actually showed up! And a good time was had by all. Even if I did have to put my laptop away when they arrived. :P
