Spec the Halls

Spec the Halls is a contest for speculative winter holiday-themed fiction, artwork, and poetry. The holiday may be fictional or real; it may be Christmas as we know and love it, or it may be something much stranger. This is its 2nd year.

This year, there will be two versions.
Free Entry Version - This is the same as last year's contest. Requires posting entry online in a publicly viewable space, to spread the spirit of Christmas...and twist it to your own ends. Reprints warmly encouraged--and yes, a warning that this is counted in most places as publication is posted on my guidelines page. Small cash prizes.
Paid Entry Version - This is new! Email submission, no requirement to post online, and a small entry fee. Prize is 70% of entry fees collected.

Full guidelines here.

The contest runs from Thanksgiving through Christmas, but submitting earlier is better!

P.S. Does anybody have suggestions for art (preferably spec art) market listings?

Spread the word, m'kay?

Do you want the art portion of this posted to MCP's Notices calendars?
