Sad Discovery

IttiBitz look interesting. Tiny little perfect globules of ice cream? It's a good start. Alas, they are not tasty. The taste is like that of regular ice cream, but strangely greasy and with a weird aftertaste. There are two hypotheses for the cause of this: either a coagulation agent, or some artificial sweetener. Regular ice cream is much better. Trust me on this one.

I am very saddened, because they look like they should be awesome, or at least interestingly pleasant.

Yeah, the store-bought ones aren't really worth it. There was a franchise of stands that sold similar things, Dippin' Dots, but I haven't seen them around for a good long time. Which is too too bad.

I was visiting Wisconsin Dells this weekend and my s/o got some Dippin' Dots which I assumed would be disgusting but tried a bite anyway.

Wow, were they good. The ones she had were called "Rainbow Ice" and were more of a sherbet than ice cream. I'm still not sure I'd want to try one of the ice cream ones, but I ended up buying a serving of the rainbow ice dippin' dots for my very own.

Still disturbing, but yummy IMO.
