Writing Log
Yesterday was the first day of my re-enforced "part-time only" work schedule, so I spent a large portion of the day decompressing and goofing off instead of writing. Yes, I have hopes that my schedule is going to be working mornings only for the indefinite future. Hope, but no certainty, because I know NgithOwl giveth and NgithOwl taketh away in a snit.
* Read 2 Writer's Digest, FundsforWriters, WritersWeekly, FFWSmallMarkets, Critters newsletters during downtime at on-site work.
* Hmm, I have a short story idea that matches the latest On the Premises contest theme, but I'm also just getting settled into Tree of Life (Light?). Ack, dilemmas! I had forgotten how I feel when I've got a long writing project ahead of me, but there are all these tempting little morsels dangling in front of me!
* Freewriting warmup: "Aliens' Monkey," a low-potential sci-fi idea about alien abductions and zookeepers. Shockingly, this is the first freewriting I've done since April 29th. Yikes. That may be as bad as I've been.
