Christine's Bachelorette Final Location at Grumpy's - Really, I mean it this time.
Whew. Finally got that sorted out. Fortunately, Grumpy's has a side room that can be reserved and doesn't require minimums or a rental fee. I've sent out a new email, but details are below the cut if you're looking for 'em here.
The new, official, final location is Grumpy's in downtown Minneapolis
at 1111 Washington Ave. S. (http://grumpys-bar.com)! (This time I
waited half a day to give them time to cancel if they suddenly
realized it wasn't available after all.)
Revised details:
There is metered street parking and pay lot parking in the area. It's
pretty easy to get there by public transit, too--the light rail and
many bus lines go through downtown. If you are not sure how to get
there, go to http://www.metrotransit.org for public transit
instructions. There is a Twins game that night, so street parking will
be difficult.
If you still need a ride, reply to this email with the *exact address*
that you will need to be picked up from, and your telephone number (in
case they need to call you for more directions en-route), and I will
put together an email of all the folks looking for rides.
Christine Lloyd's bachelorette will be a laid-back evening in the
separate room at Grumpy's in
downtown Minneapolis on
August 1st, beginning about 7 PM. The bride to be has requested "a
nice evening of beers and conversation and general geekery." And
games.
1. Bring gifts! It's a bachelorette party!
2. Bring games!
2 1/2. Bring cash, to pay for your drinks and food. It's easier!
3. RSVP
4. Mention if you need a ride, and from where, so this can get
coordinated. See details above.
5. Do NOT "reply all". That way lies madness and poor information coordination.
We will have the room to ourselves, and the door will have a sign on it.
