CSA Delivery #24

CSA Delivery #24
Contents: garlic, red onions, carrots, cauliflower, peppers, jalapeno, acorn squash, butternut, arugula, spinach, bok choi, sweet potatoes, tomatoes

Sauteed Honey-Garlic Bok Choi with Pork Sauteed Honey-Garlic Bok Choi with Pork - Pretty bland. From the CSA: 1 adult, 4 baby bok choi, tomatoes, garlic, onion

BLTs - Post-party, there's nothing better. Except bacon and eggs. From the CSA: tomatoes, leaf lettuce.

Chicken piccata-ish. Used a bag and a half of spinach, so doubled the sauce part of the recipe to make it enough. Was quite good. This recipe really depends on the wine chosen. It's become a standby for me whenever I have greens to cook up. From the CSA: garlic, spinach.

Southwestern Stuffed Acorn Squash Southwestern Stuffed Acorn Squash - Good. Basically chili in squash bowls. The tastes blended together surprisingly well, but it didn't particularly showcase the squash. Used a full pound of ground pork, so I had a large amount of chili left over. :)

Winter Squash Soup with Sauteed Apples and Stout Batter Bread - The stout batter bread had a bitter taste that I didn't like, but the squash soup with sauteed (green) apples was amazing. The squash soup was basically your standard winter squash cream soup, but adding a dollop of sauteed tart apples leveled up the recipe. From the CSA: onion, winter squash, thyme.
