Wallpaper: Marigolds and rain drops

Marigolds and rain drops, originally uploaded by catmadogma.

New wallpaper for the work computer. Chosen because of the brilliant colors, the prismatic effect of the raindrops, and the unsettlingly alien appearance of a marigold in macro.

You seem to like wet flowers a lot.

I do, don't I? I think I like raindrops and dewdrops and mist in general...Flickr tends to filter up wet flowers as being more pleasing faster than wet other things.

Really, I think it's just caustics.

You think too much...and in all the disturbing ways.

It's a very specific term. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caustic_%28optics%29) Mostly I meant light being reflected by things, but this is close enough for government work.

Acid is also caustic, and it's not like I didn't think of that.

Nifty. Yes, I definitely do.

Acid is also caustic, and it's not like I didn't think of that.

That's the only way that I've heard the phrase being used before!
