Writing Log: Autopsies

Circus of Brass and Bone Writing Log

New words: 1,123
Total words: 38,977
Overused word: incision
Gratuitous Latin: Hic locus est ubi mors gaudet succurrere vitae
Type of scene: transitioning to another main character
Challenge(s): Figuring out where to end this episode. Answer: not where I'd planned. Sigh.
Which line is it anyways?Once in the skull, the lightweight bullet would have ricocheted inside the skull case, slashing through the brain until that organ was an uninformative hash.
Researched: All things autopsy. And that is one of those things that, researching, you will find outliers in human behavior. Did you know there's a website solely for uploading autopsy videos? It's called BlueLips.
Notes: I did not intend to write an autopsy scene. I intended to write something entirely different. The autopsy just sorta happened.
Other writingy stuff:

I hadn't known about that. I was mildly surprised when researching toilets that there are online communities for uploading photos and video of toilet flushing. All of the expected geek behaviours are there - identifying what non-OEM parts were used to modify and update the given installation, diagnosing probable static and flowing PSI on the basis of flow rate and flush characteristics.

Wow. I find that oddly pleasing.
