Today's +/- Scorecard

+ Three baby guppies swimming in my fishjar*! Last week, I noticed that I had a second baby guppy, and yesterday I got a third one.
- A really weird dream last night about the guppies reproducing so much that they overflowed the fishjar and became weird gloppy size-of-my-fist jellyfish-like creatures with fancy guppy coloration.
+ Worked from home today.
-- Worked on annoying Project-That-Will-Not-Die instead of Writing-to-Save-My-Sanity
- Dealing with Your-Job-Now-Not-Mine co-worker who is also insanely busy with Other-Project-That-Will-Not-Die and prone to weird ways of communicating
- [livejournal.com profile] gunn sick with Darth Vader Crushing Your Head cold, so cannot really work on Project-That-Will-Not-Die, plus I empathize with sick friends (from a distance), because being sick sucks
----- No. Time. To. Write.
-- No. Time. To. Practice. Tae Soo Do.
- No. Time. To. Read. Non-Urgent. Email.**
+ Lots of fun grappling in Tae Soo Do class last night, and actually noticed that I was improving (did not take much)
+ Cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for dinner
+ Cat curling up on shelves in window to lie in the sun, offering her sun-warmed underbelly for rubbing and politely licking my hand when I scratch her chin.
+ Julien Pinol jazz scat
+ Writely, a free, collaborative, protected online word processing system--currently being integrated into the Google suite of programs and also plays nice with OpenOffice. In a pinch, is also a good way to convert files from one format to another.
+ Tree outside my study window
+++ Sumo Party tomorrow afternoon/night! I hope that this is also a plus for you, and that you will be there to indulge in casual socializing, tasty Asian food and drink, and mocking/rooting for sumo matches on TV.
-- Cleaning for Sumo Party.

Overall score: -2
Better than it was last week.

* Fishjar: Like fishtank, fishbowl, etc. My fish live in a converted (read: holes punched in lid) glass cookie jar so that the cats can't get at them. And because it was cheap.
** Email not from people--newsletters, news, book excerpts, general stuff that I like to keep up with.

Writing Log: Writely + Murder in the Blood

10/03/2006 - Tuesday, full day of Bush Foundation work, then Tae Soo Do
* read Absolute Write newsletter--which introduced me to Writely, the Google shared word processing program, and inspired me to get an invite to join even though it's closed to new non-invite subscribers as it is being integrated into the Google suite of services
* [livejournal.com profile] penthius freewriting: Blood Vessel to Murder, a medium-potential horror idea.
