Moments Make A Day
May. 26th, 2006 07:09 pmNew, vaguely oriental earrings and a quetzal t-shirt.
Chattering with a fellow bus-talker about the new library.
Free donut.
Being asked who I was dressed up all sexy for (my answer, somewhat confused, "Myself. It's a beautiful day....").
Listening to Southern Discomfort by Margaret Maron, a mystery audiobook.
Snatching blown tree dander from midair, making a wish, and setting it free again.
Having a beaver charge up a slope at me (actually at his burrow, which was under my feet, but we were both kind of confused for a while) only to freeze five feet away and let me take his photograph.
Being waved to cross the street by somebody with the right-of-way.
Discovering that, after all, my really old leftovers (and more importantly, the tupperware that held them), abandoned in the work fridge, had not been thrown away.
A scattering of candy hearts lying in the dust in the gutter. "Be Mine." "LOL." Some are crushed.
Yellow irises blooming in my backyard.
Running my dishwashing sponge through the dishwasher, as per new knowledge that this is a good way to sterilize it.
The scent of sauteeing zucchini, onion, garlic, and jalapeno.
Seeing Foundling try to groom the ice cream off the top of his head. I had given him the empty ice cream box to lick clean.
