My Infectious Valentine....
Feb. 14th, 2007 01:44 pmSadly, not so much of a romantic Valentine's Day for us. The Mad Scientist is curled up in bed trying to get healthy as fast as he can, but right now his progress isn't so good. He's either got a worse version of what I had the last part of last week, or he's brought home something new that I should look forward to getting. I'm not totally healthy--but I can't tell whether it's coming or going. Eh.
He's got no interest in doing anything romantic, and he has no appetite. No fancy dinner for us. Brownies I can still make, I guess, if only for myself.
He doesn't like Valentine's Day anyway, but I do! I like any excuse to celebrate and mark the changing of the year. Hell, changing the calendar to a new month always gives me a boost (when I'm not panicking over not getting something done, mind you). However, when Partner A doesn't care for a holiday, and Partner B does, this means that Partner A is obligated to do something for Partner B, but Partner B isn't obligated to do anything for Partner A. So that works ok!
I guess my celebration will be limited to wearing my black velvet pants, watching lots of Monk, and maybe baking brownies. And now I'm sitting in the Central Library, about to actually get some work done. Really. I will. You just watch and see.
