Whew! It's been a pretty busy week, between work and martial arts and general other stuff.

Work
The Owl's was slammed by a large scanning project. I know--what else is new? The timing of it was unfortunate for me, as I've also had extra work demands from Bush lately. For me, it was just another week of the eternal balancing struggle between "time to write," "work for BAF for the limited time they need me," and "work as much as I can for the Owl when they need me, without a) selling my soul and forswearing all others, or b) making them think of me as so unreliable that I'm not worth keeping around." One of these days, I'm going to sort all these time demands into a stable orbit. I have to. Of course, I've been saying that for a while.

At the Bush Foundation, we've spent the last couple of weeks ramping up for the reception and orientation for the 2007 Artist Fellows. Take a look at that link; they're a special bunch of people, and I still get a bit, "Eeek! Outranked!" whenever I'm in their presence. The other major event was the announcement of the program expansion. The Fellows Orientation was Sunday and Monday, followed by the program expansion announcement and reception. I already posted about how Sunday went.

Useful and interesting information from Monday. )

To be continued....
