5 Days...Gone.

Me, 20 minutes ago: Hmm, it looks like it's finished downloading all the pictures. Wonder why it didn't automatically delete them from the memory card? Oh, well. *deletes all pictures from camera, begins to sort through downloaded pictures*

Me, 5 minutes ago: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggghhhhhhhh!

Yup, I lost five days worth of photographs and videos.

Phil: Why did you take cute pictures of yourself anyway? What do you need cute pictures for?

Me: That's what one does once one has a digital camera.

Phil: No! You take lots of cute pictures of your cats! *scowls squinty-eyed suspicion at me*
