My Lame Ass Excuses Me

Yeah, I couldn't resist the joke.
Something low in my butt, between my left hip and my tailbone, has been paining me for days--since Thursday? Maybe. Not entirely sure. I know it wasn't hurting *before* last Thursday. It doesn't feel surface-level--it feels like a tendon strain or joint that's being not-quite-right. It hurts to walk, a bit, unless I remember to consciously relax my muscles between each stride, and that's harder to do than you think.
Anyway, I've learnt my lesson about working out when I've got a strain--doing so makes it much harder to heal.
That said, I'm irked. Heal, damn it! No more funnybone pins-and-needles when I'm trying to find a comfortable way to sit or walk!
*grumble*

Date: 2006-08-30 01:43 pm (UTC)I like soaking in a cold bath before taking a hot shower to reduce inflammation. Also, heavy doses of ibuprofen for a day while taking it easy may give the muscles around that area time to heal.
I'm pretty sure mine is the tendon/ligament from my butt to back of knee that is strained.
