Ow. Fuckdamnit, ow.
So when sinking into a simple defensive stance, no less, something in my hip/leg socket twinged. And proceeded to be unreasonable about not hurting. There's a muscle in your upper thigh that is the one primarily used to lift yourself up from a knee-up kneeling position--that one. It also seems to be used in regular walking, and going up stairs, but going down stairs is fine.
Ironically enough, I already have an appointment on Thursday with the orthopedic rehab people for that other leg muscle I keep re-injuring. This is something I would normally just try not to baby too much, push through, and wince and swear a lot under my breath.
Oddly enough, the jump spin I tried after injuring the leg felt super-easy to get the leg into the right position--usually I feel a lot of opposition from muscles/hips.
Er.
Again with the craptastically ow.
I make a very poor ill/injured person. It's that whole "no patience" thing.
