Edited to note: Yay, work didn't drag him away for dinner! No volunteers needed. Thanks, though!

I might need another person to come to dinner with me tonight, my treat. It's for mystery shopping--I signed up for one at Longfellow Grill tonight, but if Phil's work takes him out to eat (which they may or may not), then I need somebody else to go with. You'd have to help me remember things like timing and who looks like what and what their names are, and of course you'd have to tell me about your food. I would pay for it, though!

Volunteers?

I'm not much of a music person most of the time, but I get very finicky when I start writing on a project. Music helps keep me in the appropriate style, so I find a soundtrack and stick to it.

In this post, [livejournal.com profile] kaulis said:
Sometimes, though, I wish I could ask it for music based only on those elements, without actually feeding it any music to start with. They don't have a way to do that yet, do they?

That would be good. Or if you could just blather away at it and it would pick out the keywords and try to match it. For example, I'm now writing a sci-fi story that I think needs an electronica/folk/new agey background, preferably with songs that are like light and trees. And some spiritual-ish stuff. Tibetan monks? With space stations--in my mind, these always sound hollow and empty, with underlying bustle of people and a little "music of the spheres".

Chimes and clanks, wind blowing through trees, uplifting and dark, electronic and organic.

My Pandora channel (Tree of Light) is trying very hard, but I'm not enough of a music person to give it the right kinds of feedback. Sigh....

The closest I've found so far is the The Fifth Element soundtrack.
