I like blue iris dance very much. At some point, I will definitely want a print. It's my mood right now - and by that, I mean the picture. Also, I think it captures some of the historical feel of the dances very well . . .
have i ever told you that you have a really good sense of lighting? Well, that's my opinion of your work anyhow. I can't remember if I've ever actually *said* that to you though. That's why, when ever you are around, I always ask your opinion about light levels.
I continue to be impressed by your photography. Perhaps someday we can trade my editing skills for your photography skills. I'd be interested to see what came of it.
I love the light, colors, and textures on the Noir piece... It reminds me of those black and white pictures with so very subtle color--and of an antique violin, for some reason. Beautiful.
Color photographs, sure. Black&white's a bit pricey, not to mention I don't have access to a darkroom so I would end up being frustrated with the lab's interpretation of my intent.
I have so very many dance photographs. Most of them are on my website under one dancer or another.
If you want a handy-dandy 4x6 print of it, the first one's free (the first one's always free). I could bring it to Cahoots. If you'd prefer a larger size, I'll need to check the development lab, etc. I could probably even make a poster out of it, if you'd like....
I shot both this and the one of Eli at Angus' premiere. Remember when I dragged you down that hallway with the bar lights? The ratio of those photos is about 25/75 for "awesome" or "damn, I must have moved." I set the camera's light levels for the highlighted portions of people. By the way, you look scarily like Amelie. Too bad that it's a bit blurry.
I wish I knew who this person was. The picture's pretty cool; they might want a copy.
This picture is slightly out of focus, but I think that adds to the effect in this case. I toned down the color contrast (less than 10%) and cropped the light source from the left. That's it.

Awww.... I do tend to notice when the light falls a certain way and I think it'd make an awesome shot.
