The ratio of those photos is about 25/75 for "awesome" or "damn, I must have moved." I set the camera's light levels for the highlighted portions of people. By the way, you look scarily like Amelie. Too bad that it's a bit blurry.
I wish I knew who this person was. The picture's pretty cool; they might want a copy.
This picture is slightly out of focus, but I think that adds to the effect in this case. I toned down the color contrast (less than 10%) and cropped the light source from the left. That's it.
have i ever told you that you have a really good sense of lighting?
Awww.... I do tend to notice when the light falls a certain way and I think it'd make an awesome shot.
