The Plan

Today:
* finish making editing changes to "Thief" and submit to anthology - deadline today (most important and time-consuming thing on this list)
* ransack wardrobe to find clothing matching category of "business casual"
* if have time, check bike to figure out what size tire-thingy need to purchase to make bike work again (Ack! Going to pay a professional to do this. Needs more than an inner tube. Recommendation for professional?)
* go to downtown Minneapolis library (still love that library) with laptop, return books and do wi-fi stuff until
* go clothes-shopping with [livejournal.com profile] chesh's help to find and complete "business casual" costumes - a grim business, particularly on my budget (Aha! The ransacking proved that I did not, after all, need to buy new clothes--though I'll be dowdy as all hell, I'll still be appropriately attired.)
* email invite to 4th of July to folks who probably won't have seen the lj post

This weekend:
* may have work at NightOwl this weekend
* if not on Saturday, then go to first-ever grappling (ground-fighting) class, hoping that I can drag my ass out of bed, get a last-minute punch card, and that the bruises will fade by Thursday, when I go to my new temp job
* acquire sword-case from Rising Sun Martial Arts Supply
* go to Cahoots Saturday, with some items to return to people ([livejournal.com profile] discoflamingo, [livejournal.com profile] fayde) and some items to give to people ([livejournal.com profile] beths_stanley, and hopefully [livejournal.com profile] gunn)
* if not on Sunday, perhaps actually drag ass to church?

Seems bike shops these days will be soaking you hard for a tire, whatever you do. It's pretty stupid. Basically, you either pay it or you don't.

Not a good deal.

Check out "The Hub". Its a co-op bike store one located just off Lake St. on Minnehaha Ave. and the other on Cedar Ave on the west bank. Because they are a co-op they help you out rather than just doign it sometimes and are really nice about explaining things. I think they are reasonably priced, but I do all my own bike work so I have only heard that from other people.

I was looking forward to having a new opponent. Maybe next week? It's fun - I think you'd like it.

hoping that I can drag my ass out of bed

My hopes were dashed. Operation "drag ass out of bed" was a failure. Next week, yes! I got my uniform a while ago, and just was waiting to get my punchcard until after I'd tested--didn't want to risk injury right before testing (same reason I avoided the last couple of acrobatics classes--that and I had a strained thigh muscle that I was babying).
