Due to funeral, we went out of town and so handed over the whole thing to our CSA partners.
09/18/2008 Delivery #20
I was still recovering from my grandmother's funeral. My camera was dead, foully murdered by my aunt, so I didn't take pictures. It's almost like it never happened. Creepy.
Contents: Raspberries, French Orange Melon, Lettuce, Peppers, Baby White Turnips, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Garlic, Yellow & Red Onions, Edamame, Eggplant, Celeriac, Tomatoes

Mock-Tandoori Chicken, Roasted Cauliflower with Indian Barbecue Sauce, and Masala Sauce on Rice
Roasted Cauliflower with Indian Barbecue Sauce. So delicious. It reminded me of Indian street food really strongly (I lived in India for a couple of years growing up), and I now have a new favorite "barbecue" sauce. Though this recipe made about 2x as much barbecue sauce as was needed. Sauce also worked well with the mock-tandoori chicken. From the CSA: cauliflower.
Mock-tandoori chicken - sliced chicken into long strips and marinaded it with yogurt, lemon juice, and tandoori seasoning from Penzey's. Grilled on my cast-iron grill, which I'm now terrified of cleaning. Tasted okay, but nothing special.
Masala sauce and rice - A last-minute substitute when I realized the tandoori naan were being feasted upon by mold. Followed America's Test Kitchen Chicken Tikka Masala recipe mostly, keeping the chicken separate and adding turnip greens, but wasn't very good. From the CSA: turnip greens, onion, red pepper.

The star of the show.
