Saw this in a narrow area between two garages, just off the alleyway. Hmm. Looks like we may have a budding serial killer in the neighborhood (this goes a bit behind the usual "popping the heads off dolls" that kids do). At least they won't be active for another ten or twenty years, going by statistics, and we don't have any outside pets.

Dec. 3rd, 2006 07:32 pmNote to self: These 30 Essential Pieces Of Free (and Open) Software for Windows are quite awesome, and there's about half a dozen of 'em that I should download the next time I've got my laptop in an area with a high-speed internet connection. Also,
lifehacker is both useful and addictive, but I'm more than a little cranky about its tendency lately to double-post everything. Why, oh RSS feed, why?

Dec. 3rd, 2006 10:50 pmShoulder still hurts. I alternate between feeling like I'm over-reacting to what's hardly anything and wishing I still had some Percoset stashed from the appendectomy recovery earlier this year. *gnashing of teeth* I'm really never sure if I'm reacting in the appropriate way/to the appropriate degree for injury/illness. Grimble, grimble. I hate that broken-can't-fix-it feeling. Why can't humans come with clear, readable error messages that include a remedy?
Current plan is to be easy on the shoulder until Tuesday, and if it causes a problem during Tae Soo Do, to make a doctor's apt. for later this week. For now, off to take some Ibuprofen and try to sleep.
